Car Buying Seminar Giveaway Official Rules

Eligibility: The Giveaway is open to legal residents of the State of Texas who are at least eighteen (18) years of age as of the date of entry. Employees of Sponsor, its subsidiaries, their directors and volunteers, and members of their respective immediate families (spouses, parents, children and siblings), regardless of residence, and members of their households are not eligible to enter. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects. Winner must reside in the State of Texas.

Entry Period: The Giveaway begins Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 10 a.m. CDT and ends at the completion of the Car Buying Seminar at approximately 11 a.m. CDT. If the Car Buying Seminar is cancelled, postponed, delayed, or otherwise modified for any reason, including but not limited to technical issues, facility issues, weather events, or other events beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control, Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Giveaway, including the selection of a winner from eligible entries received prior to such event, in its sole discretion.

Giveaway Location: The Car Buying Seminar will be conducted live at 23665 Katy Freeway, Katy, Texas 77494 (“Katy Branch”).

Entrants must be physically present at the Katy Branch to be eligible to enter and win. Attendance at the seminar is for educational purposes only. Attendees are under no obligation to engage in any financial transaction, open any account, apply for a loan, or purchase a vehicle.  The Giveaway is not sponsored by, endorsed by, or affiliated with any vehicle dealer, vehicle seller, or third-party service provider discussed at the seminar. 

The Giveaway is intended solely as a promotional activity of First Service and is not intended to compensate or incentivize any person to apply for financing, purchase a vehicle, open an account, or obtain any financial product or service.

How to Enter: Limit one (1) total entry per person. Eligible individuals may enter the Giveaway by checking in for the Car Buying Seminar in person on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. CDT at the Katy Branch.  Entry will be recorded at the time of event check-in; no additional action is required to enter. Entry into the Giveaway does not require any loan application, vehicle purchase, consultation, or follow-up communication with Sponsor or any third party.  Participation in the seminar or Giveaway will not increase or otherwise impact an individual’s chances of winning. Sponsor reserves the right to refuse, limit, or revoke any entry if it determines, in its sole discretion, that an entrant is not eligible or has violated these Official Rules.

Drawing: One (1) winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries. The drawing will take place at approximately 11:00 a.m. CDT on July 25, 2026, at the conclusion of the Car Buying Seminar. Entrants must be physically present at the Katy Branch at the time his or her name is announced to be declared the winner. If the selected entrant is not present at the Katy Branch at the time of announcement, that entrant will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected.

Prize: Winner will receive a one hundred dollar ($100) VISA gift card. The Visa gift card is issued by a third-party financial institution and is subject to the terms and conditions of the issuing institution. Visa is not a sponsor of, nor affiliated with, this Giveaway.  Only one (1) prize will be awarded. Winner is solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes associated with the receipt and use of the prize. 

The prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable. No substitution by the winner is permitted; however, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the stated prize, in whole or in part, with a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable for any reason. Sponsor makes no warranties regarding the prize and is not responsible for any consequences related to the use of the prize. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or unauthorized use of the gift card once it has been awarded to the winner.

Prize Claim: The prize will be awarded at the time of the drawing. The winner must be physically present at the Katy Branch and must accept the prize in person immediately upon verification of eligibility. If the selected winner declines the prize or fails to complete any required documentation at the time of award, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected. Only one (1) prize will be awarded in connection with the Giveaway. The prize will be awarded on-site at the Katy Branch.

To receive the prize, the winner may be required to sign and return an Authorization and Release of Name, Image, Voice, or Likeness and provide any requested contact information for prize fulfillment. Failure to timely respond, complete required documentation, or otherwise comply with these Official Rules within the time period specified by Sponsor may result in forfeiture of the prize, and Sponsor may select an alternate winner in its sole discretion.

Publicity: By accepting the prize, the winner grants permission for First Service and/or its designees to use his/her name, photographs, voice and/or other likeness and prize information for publicity and promotional purposes related to the Giveaway or First Service marketing, without further compensation, notice, review, or consent, in any and all forms of media, unless prohibited by law, worldwide in perpetuity. 

No Inducement: You agree that your entry into the Giveaway did not induce you to become a member of First Service or to open an account at First Service. Participation in this Giveaway and receipt of any prize is not conditioned upon, and will not increase based on, the purchase of any financial product or service, including but not limited to opening an account, applying for a loan, purchasing a vehicle, or obtaining any other financial product or service.

Disputes: BY PARTICIPATING IN THE GIVEAWAY, YOU AGREE TO WAIVE ALL RIGHT TO TRIAL BY JURY OF ANY ACTION, SUIT, PROCEEDING, DISPUTE, CLAIM OR CONTROVERSY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE GIVEAWAY. In the event of a dispute arising out of this Giveaway, you and First Service will attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute by mediation before a mutually agreed upon mediator, or, failing mutual agreement as to a mediator and/or alternatively, appointed by and through the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”), and to share equally in the cost of mediation. If the dispute is not resolved through mediation, then arbitration will apply.   ARBITRATION MUST BE ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. The arbitration shall be conducted in Houston, Texas, by one neutral arbitrator chosen by AAA according to its Commercial Arbitration Rules.   Except where prohibited by law, by participating, you agree that any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Giveaway.  If any portion of this dispute resolution provision is deemed unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in effect.

General Conditions: First Service reserves the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify the Giveaway, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, human error, natural disaster or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Giveaway, as determined by First Service in its sole discretion. In such event, Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to award the prize at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment. First Service reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or acting in violation of these Official Rules. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Giveaway may be a violation of criminal and/or civil law, and should such an attempt be made, First Service reserves the right to seek damages from any such person as allowed by applicable law. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. If any provision of these Official Rules is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. All decisions of Sponsor regarding the administration of the Giveaway, interpretation of these Official Rules, and selection of the winner are final and binding.
