In a world of cyber hacking and unprecedented fraud, First Service Credit Union takes all precautions and utilizes the most cutting-edge technology to protect our members’ information and assets.

Account Monitoring

Together with Visa®, we monitor your account for suspicious transactions and will notify you of any unusual activity. In some cases, your account may be placed on hold to safeguard you from fraudulent purchases. And don’t worry — you won’t be held accountable for timely reported unauthorized transactions through Visa’s Zero Liability Policy.*

Network Security

Our online banking and mobile banking app are equipped with multilayer firewalls and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to protect your account. SSL is a cryptosystem that creates a secure environment for the information being transferred between your browser and First Service.

EMV Chip Security

EMV chip card security is the latest in card protection. You can rest easy with the added protection of smart chip technology, which makes it virtually impossible for a thief to create a counterfeit copy of your card.

Mobile Payment Technology with Tokenization

With mobile payment services like Apple Pay®, Android Pay™ and Samsung Pay™, the payment system uses a device-specific number, or token, instead of your card number, which means your transactions remain secure, and your information stays safe.
